Kingdom County Productions presents and produces over 35 live events throughout the state of Vermont and New England every year.
Presenting world-class music, theater, and dance at a range of venues, with a primary commitment to Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Past and future presentations include Ed Asner in FDR, The Second City Comedy Troupe, Paula Poundstone, Russian National Ballet’s Swan Lake, The Acting Company’s A Comedy of Errors, and concerts by LeAnn Rimes, Bettye LaVette, Peter Rowan, Natalie MacMaster, and Buddy Guy. Touring selected artists to multiple venues throughout the state. KCP also tours it's own films through screenings, conferences, and film festivals.
Commissioning original performing arts events that can tour the region. Examples include: Abby Paige’s solo performance rendering 10 Franco-Vermont characters, Piecework: When We Were French (to Montpelier, Marlboro, Burlington, and Middlebury) and Ojibwa playwright Drew Taylor Hayden’s Native American comedy/drama, Only Drunks and Children Tell the Truth (to Burlington, St. Johnsbury, and Marlboro).
Producing the Queen City Radio Hour and other new performance and media. The Queen City Radio Hour combines radio drama, comedy, spoken word performance, and world-class music to entertain live audiences through the region, followed by broadcast on Vermont Public Radio. ALSO, short radio bits for placement in and around regional news and information programming.
